Cardiff Astronomical Society Observers Club

Cardiff Astronomical society are adding a new string to it's bow, it is this. On the last friday of every month starting Feb 23rd we will be holding observing sessions (Regardless of the weather ) at Mountain lakes-- also known as Castle Heights golf course.. We plan to have at least 2 members on duty between 8 and 10 pm (20:00 and 22:00) and are able to use the golf club itself (really its just like a pub with normal prices ) It is ok to bring youngsters because we will be "off the bar" in the TV area . But of course we can use any part of the premises bar included and it is a very laid back sort of place.

Very often it is cloudy in the evening and brightens up later, so we can then do some observing , otherwise we can show people how to set up or work their scopes or any number of things .Of course if you just want to sit and discuss things astronomical thats ok too. Lastly don't forget its your society so come along and help us get CAS observers off the ground. Hope to see lots of you there at our first meeting . Any more info you can always contact The CAS Observers Club.

You can find CAS Observers Club at Mountain Lakes Golf Course Club House.
