In response to points raised at the last AGM and also positive interest shown by those filling in the new application form, we are starting a series of meetings for members to discuss topics with other members. These sessions will be held before scheduled talks (6.45-7.30 p.m.) and will take place at the back of the lecture theatre. If members want to continue the session after the talk there is a coffee area on the ground floor or the nearest Wetherspoons is just down the road.

If you are interested but are unable to attend you can email the CAS Membership Secretary, Kath Compton, at Membership.Secretary@cardiff-astronomical-society.co.uk. She can then ensure interested members are told about any follow-up sessions. Please also email Kath about any topics to be covered in the future. These can be about practical things such as observing/astrophotography or something more theoretical like discussing good articles that have been seen or something where knowledge is currently lacking. Maybe after a discussion someone could write an article for the Newsletter so that the knowledge gained is shared more widely.
