Future Public Events

The next public event with which CAS will be involved is the very popular Star Attractions Day, to be held at the National Museum Cardiff, Cathays Park, from 10.00 to 16.00 on Saturday, 19th January 2019.

Looking further ahead in the year, CAS will be involved in two events at the Brecon Beacons Mountain Visitor Centre. On Saturday, 22nd June 2019 we will be running another Solar Viewing session (timed to tie in with the 2019 Summer Solstice on 21st June) and the Society will join up once again with Dark Sky Wales for a stargazing evening on Friday, 18th October 2019.

There will also be several events in July relating to the 50th anniversary of the first landings - by humans! - on the Moon (Apollo 11 landed on the Moon on 20th July 1969 and US astronaut Neil Armstrong made his "big step" on the following day). One definite event will take place on Saturday, 20th July 2019 at the National Museum Wales in Cathays Park.

Further details of these events will be made available in due course.

If you have attended any of the Society's public events in the past we would be grateful for your feedback so that we can improve things and provide the best possible experience.
