Many thanks once again for the commitment and sterling efforts of the team. A popular evening with 1500 tickets booked and all sorts of stands from the University Mechanical Engineering Department, the University Astronomical Society, scientists from the Museum and an emphasis on sustainability and our carbon footprint. Not sure how the hula-hoop dancers with the light show came into that!
A crowded event as you will see by the images; a very busy evening and we were kept going by the combined efforts of Greg and Siobhan's biscuits and Phill's chocolates. So it wasn't all talk but very sociable too!
Made the acquaintance of a new member, and as usual some people who are interested in astronomy, have lived in Cardiff all their lives but have never heard of us, and someone who lives by the Visitor Centre in Brecon for many years who asked if we ever go there!
