Oxford Away Day - 18 June 2016
Well, I enjoyed myself; amazed to see the blackboard (protected from anyone else's doodles or chalk duster!) with Einstein's writing as he wrote out the equations for the expansion of the Universe with such neat writing; also saw the house where Edmund Halley lived and observed, and where Robert Hooke worked. Many impressive early instruments in the Museum and a camera of the type I first owned as an exhibit! - a Kodak Instamatic. How to make you feel old ... had to recover with tea and cake in the Botanical Gardens and sat alongside the river watching many trying and failing to steer the boats.
